Located in the heart of India, Pench National park is synonymous with the famous fables of ‘Jungle Book’ written by the renowned author Rudyard Kipling way back in late 19th Century. It was the jungles of Pench that inspired those tales of jungle boy Mogli, Baloo the bear, Kaa the snake and the fearsome Sher Khan !
Due to the sustained efforts and watchful eyes of the conservationists and naturalists who received commendable support from the government, Pench National Park has managed to preserve its ecosystem and today it shelters an enviable variety of flora and fauna that includes hyenas, leopards, gaur, sloth bears, wild dogs, jackals, barking deer, sambar and the king of the jungle – the majestic tiger!
